Trees And Timber - Hello, My Name Is Love. Debut Album

In the summer of 2013, I was contacted by a band called "Trees and Timber" from Tacoma WA, who had just unleashed their debut EP called "Electric Gypsy Lovechild."

The EP had me hooked from the very first few bars of opening track, "I Know Nothing," an uptempo affair, which had me swaggering about my business, whilst declaring how I also know nothing, but as Joe Baker (Vocals, Guitar and Keyboards) sings, "I am learning," and what I learnt then, was what a great band this was.

From L-R. Joe, Gwen & Paul

More than ably backed by Gwen Lewandowski (bass) and Paul Rybicki (drums), the three piece deliver what they descibe as "Aggressive Pop Supreme, with a generous side of delicously sweet hooks, lucious lines and juicy rhythms." Sound good enough to eat?  Well it is!

I have been playing Trees and Timber on my show, in the car, at work, on the ipod and haven't tired of them in the slightest, so, when I heard the news from the band that they were releasing an album, I was, to put it mildly, rather excited, they also offered me the opportunity to preview the album, which I gladly accepted, chomping at the bit to devour some more more quality tunes, steeped in 60's styled sensibilities, whilst maintaining an originality and style all of their own.

"Hello, My Name Is Love" is a twelve track music feast, an audible delight, which on first listen had me scribbling notes down on which tracks I would play on the "Ice Cream Man Power Pop and More" radio show, I had basically written down the first side of the album before I had even reached side two!

Interestingly, the title track of the album name "Hello, My Name is Love" does not appear on the album, but you can find that on the EP "Electric Gypsy Lovechild" a track that is not on the EP but appears on the album…..are you keeping up?

Trees and Timber have recently made the EP available for free download on their Bandcamp page and I really believe that this serves as a fantastic intro to a wonderfully fresh and talented band, you can find the EP/Mini Album, for a name your price fee here: Trees And Timber Bandcamp

The album will be released on vinyl, CD and available for download very soon.  In the meantime, go over to Facebook and give them a "like" and immerse yourself in all things "Trees and Timber."
